.About.Hiya, my name is Ky G ^[they/he] although I mostly use the online alias Garou.
I am a queer, nonbinary acadian artist, born and raised in the Maritimes, currently residing in Kjipuktuk (Halifax) Canada.Although I mostly stick to digital art with bold dark rainbow colours, I do frequently dabble with traditional mediums such as watercolours and inks, and love to experiment with a wide variety of styles. I am against the use of Ai / NFTsIn addition to being a cosplayer, comic creator, and cat parent, I'm also professionally accredited in the animation industry. I have worked as a main storyboard artist on Care Bears: Unlock the Magic, and as a builds artist for The Loud House and Clone High, with clients such as Disney, Nickelodeon, Amazon, Warner Bros and more.
My free time is spent working on my webcomic FiSHSKiN, playing card games, and hanging out with my two disabled cats, Mr Stamps and Gozer.I'm also an avid fan of video games, manga, and tattoos.

Graphic designs, logo, and branding for Halifax Asian rock band, Dim Sum Fund.
Cleaned their old logo design (with the original artist's permission), and went through several client passes until we settled on a solid branding identity and produced first edition merch.

Assorted merchandise designing, including the use and understanding of Pantone colours, Hex codes, CMYK printing, and related production documents. Simplified non-text based, or limited text based artwork is also within my wheelhouse of expertise.

Redesigning Oto Toda's To Strip The Flesh (遠田おと短編集 にくをはぐ) manga cover title.
This re-conception is based on the original Japanese anthology cover depicting visceral queer and trans stories, rather than the official English-translated "softened" version. This was then printed for personal use as a slip cover.

Finished designs ranging from comic titles to indie game concepts, to a successful international Kickstarter anthology, and more. These typographic logo designs strike the perfect balance of readability and aesthetic.
